Technical Product Specialist

Position Overview:
The Technical Product Specialist plays a crucial role in providing support for designated products within the North American market. This position requires a candidate who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to ensure effective product support.
***This role involves significant travel, approximately 50-70% (national/international-Canada)**
- Travel will include visits to client locations for installation and launch support.
- Travel commitments may range from 2-3 days per week to extended periods of up to 2 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
· Serve as the Technical Product Specialist for assigned hardware and software systems.
· Engage in tasks related to evaluating, designing, and modifying equipment to enhance its operational efficiency (covering both mechanical and automation aspects).
· Collaborate with Customers and Sales teams to gather unique product requirements and specifications.
· Act as a liaison across various departments to ensure that customer needs are met effectively.
· Verify that products meet specifications and align with business requirements.
· Contribute as a team member focused on product quality and reliability.
· Demonstrate a solid understanding of electronics and electromechanical systems.
· Lead investigations into product quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
· Regularly interface with managers, technicians, IT personnel, and customers.
· Assume the role of a local project engineer for specific market requirements.
· Collect and analyze product performance data to drive continuous improvement.
· Manage relationships with vendors and external parties to ensure project deadlines are met.
· Participate in Engineering Change Orders and documentation updates.
· Proficient in MS Office applications.
· Exhibit strong troubleshooting capabilities.
· Willingness to travel for installation support across North America.
Educational Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Qualifications:
· Experience in the design, development, and analysis of complex electromechanical and automated systems.
· Preferred knowledge of electromagnetic, laser, and electromechanical technologies.
· Background in quality management, manufacturing processes, market introductions, and performance enhancements for technical products.
· Experience in delivering technical presentations to customers and colleagues.
· Familiarity with hardware and software development methodologies, particularly PLCs.
· Knowledge of Schneider and Allen Bradley PLCs (programming and design).
· Strong technical acumen and decision-making skills.
· Ability to resolve technical challenges in a dynamic team environment.
· Proficient in technical learning management and documentation.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with potential customers and understand their needs.
· Understanding of project management principles.

· Must possess a valid passport.
· A valid driver's license is required.
