Role Overview:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is responsible for supporting all daily functions of the dispensary, being part of a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. This role also involves upholding iAnthus policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage and educate patients in a welcoming manner
  • Ensure patient intake forms are complete and accurate
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication
  • Provide timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Deliver exceptional and compassionate patient service consistently
  • Participate in monthly inventory assessments

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all patients are greeted with a friendly and compassionate attitude
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Be proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain current knowledge of products and proper dosages
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations
  • Review and update educational materials for patients
  • Engage in quarterly team meetings

Sales and Business Development:

  • Review daily sales and best practices with team members
  • Be trained in patient services, including intake and product knowledge
  • Participate in brief meetings to ensure consistent messaging
  • Provide excellent and compassionate patient service

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation
  • Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
  • Computer literacy; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to use a ladder and general tools for repairs
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions
