Role Overview:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager of Retail Operations, plays a vital role in the daily functions of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team and supporting iAnthus's objectives. This position involves upholding the policies and procedures of iAnthus while ensuring compliance with all relevant state and local regulations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operational Duties:

  • Engaging and educating patients in a friendly manner
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assisting in the qualification of patients for our Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
  • Maintaining compliance with local and state regulations
  • Performing general administrative tasks, such as filing and operating office equipment
  • Providing timely patient feedback to Dispensary General and Assistant Managers
  • Maintaining accurate records, including patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participating in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Delivering compassionate and excellent patient service consistently
  • Participating in monthly inventory reviews

Training and Development:

  • Ensuring all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, creating a positive experience
  • Understanding HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
  • Becoming proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Staying informed on product knowledge and appropriate dosages
  • Ensuring compliance with iAnthus policies and all applicable laws
  • Reviewing and updating educational materials for patients
  • Participating in quarterly team meetings

Sales and Business Development:

  • Reviewing daily sales and best practices with team members to meet objectives
  • Training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge
  • Engaging in brief meetings to ensure message consistency
  • Delivering compassionate patient service

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Proficient in computer use; POS experience is desirable
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to use a ladder and general tools for repairs
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including office environments and exposure to different elements
