Role Overview:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager of Retail Operations, plays a crucial role in supporting the daily functions of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving iAnthus's corporate objectives. This position requires adherence to iAnthus's policies and compliance with all relevant state and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a welcoming manner
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for the Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
  • Maintain compliance with all local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and operating office equipment
  • Provide timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintain accurate records such as patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in daily briefings to align on objectives
  • Deliver compassionate and exceptional patient service consistently
  • Participate in monthly inventory assessments

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a friendly and compassionate greeting, creating a positive experience
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Be proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain current knowledge of products and appropriate dosages
  • Ensure compliance with iAnthus policies and all applicable laws
  • Review and update educational materials for patients
  • Engage in quarterly team meetings

Sales and Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and collaborate with team members to achieve targets
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake processes and product knowledge
  • Participate in daily briefings to ensure consistent messaging
  • Provide excellent and compassionate service to patients

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities
  • Computer literacy; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout the workday
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to use a ladder and general tools for maintenance tasks
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including office environments and exposure to different elements
