Role Overview:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager of Retail Operations, plays a vital role in supporting daily dispensary functions, contributing to a patient-focused team, and achieving company objectives. This position is responsible for upholding iAnthus policies and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in qualifying patients for financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication
  • Provide timely patient feedback to management
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping for various operational documents
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Deliver exceptional and compassionate service to patients
  • Contribute to monthly inventory assessments

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, creating a positive experience
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Become proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and appropriate dosages
  • Support team members in adhering to company policies and legal requirements
  • Review and update educational materials for patients
  • Engage in quarterly team discussions

Sales and Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and best practices with team members to meet objectives
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake processes and product knowledge
  • Participate in briefings at the start of each shift to ensure message consistency
  • Provide outstanding and compassionate service to all patients

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have reliable transportation
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in computer usage; experience with POS systems is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including exposure to fumes, dust, and noise
