Role Overview:

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, is integral to the daily operations of the dispensary, focusing on patient-centric service and achieving company objectives. This role involves adhering to iAnthus policies and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and educate patients in a supportive manner
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in the qualification process for our Verified Financial Hardship program
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing and operating office equipment
  • Provide timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient intake and cash handling
  • Participate in daily meetings to align on goals and messages
  • Deliver compassionate patient service consistently
  • Participate in monthly inventory assessments

Training and Development:

  • Ensure all patients receive a warm and helpful greeting, creating a positive experience
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Be proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and dosage information
  • Ensure team adherence to policies and regulations
  • Review and update educational materials for patients
  • Engage in quarterly team meetings for continuous improvement

Sales and Business Development:

  • Analyze daily sales and best practices with team members
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge
  • Participate in daily meetings to ensure message consistency
  • Provide exceptional and compassionate patient service

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends
  • Strong communication skills and basic math proficiency
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities
  • Computer literacy is required; POS experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass a criminal background check as per state guidelines

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at least 8 hours a day with rotating shifts
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to perform repetitive movements throughout the workday
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions
