Role Overview

As the Regional Sales Executive for Furnace Aftermarket, you will join our Aftermarket Service Team, engaging in both inside and outside sales. Your focus will be on providing spare parts, rebuilds, retrofits, and field services to industrial furnace owners in the carbon and non-ferrous sectors, primarily within North America. You will cultivate a deep understanding of ANDRITZ furnace products, customer requirements, and advanced sales techniques to offer informed recommendations. Additionally, you will advise management on growth prospects within your designated region.

Your responsibilities will include visiting and engaging with furnace customers, including those involved in reheat, annealing, galvanizing, and continuous processes. You will receive support from our back-office team for technical assistance and order processing.

The Regional Sales Executive is accountable for achieving growth objectives within the assigned product group and customer base. Collaboration with the Sales Director and inside sales team will be essential for price negotiations, tracking inquiries to orders, and overseeing after-sales service, including product and service claim resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the annual sales targets as outlined in the budget for your territory.
  • Enhance and expand existing sales with key accounts.
  • Engage directly with decision-makers to drive sales.
  • Identify new business opportunities through consultative selling techniques.
  • Differentiate ANDRITZ's offerings by emphasizing our focus on advanced technologies and application engineering.
  • Increase business revenue and market share.
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies based on market segments.
  • Monitor and report on customer satisfaction levels.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and sales contracts.
  • Secure purchase orders and exceed sales targets for assigned products.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
  • Stay informed on market trends and technological advancements relevant to the industry.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time for customer visits and inter-company engagements.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Goal-oriented with a proactive approach to achieving sales objectives.
  • Skilled in empathetic communication to gather valuable customer feedback.
  • Experience in consultative selling and related training methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of delivering effective presentations.
  • Understanding of balancing sales volume targets with profit margin maintenance.
  • Adept at building interpersonal relationships alongside technical sales support.
  • Proficient in data organization and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Comfortable presenting in business and industrial environments.
  • Experience working with corporate divisions such as engineering, maintenance, purchasing, and quality.
  • Background in complex sales of industrial engineered products.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in sales or customer service roles.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
Educational Background:
  • Minimum of 7 years in outside sales within an industrial context.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with industrial furnaces or relevant combustion processes is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in the metals industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
