About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Petra Construction Corporation. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a critical role in the development, pricing, execution, and completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project planning and scheduling to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Prepare and process subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Attend and record project meetings to ensure accurate communication and documentation.
  • Prepare change orders, submittals, and maintain submittal logs to ensure project progress and compliance.
  • Manage subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
  • Review daily reports to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review subcontractor requisitions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in attaining substantial and final project completion on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • 6 months-3 years of project management experience at a construction firm.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management/Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of project delivery methods and contractual documents.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office and MS Project proficiency.
  • Experience with, or ability to learn and use, Procore project management software.
  • Capability and desire to work as a member of a team.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems, follow specific instructions.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • OSHA 10 certification; OSHA 30 Certification within 6 months of hire.
