Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Educational Service District 112. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting students with behavior or mental health issues in a classroom setting.

Job Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician will work under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and conduct assessments. This is a part-time position serving Stevenson High School in the Stevenson-Carson School District.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the IEP team
  • Collect data and conduct assessments
  • Assist the Special Education Teacher in lesson plan implementation, one-on-one and small group instruction, classroom management, student observation and assessment, and communication with parents and staff
  • Communicate with staff and parents as instructed by the Special Education Teacher
  • Implement positive behavior intervention systems
  • Manage crisis intervention by maintaining a safe classroom environment for students
  • Participate as a member of the education team and may attend parent conferences
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Hold or obtain a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within 60 days of employment
  • Experience working with students with behavior or mental health issues
Working Conditions:

This position involves working in a classroom setting, moving from classroom to classroom to provide services, and providing assistance and attending to the physical needs of students. The job requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, carrying, reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, and pulling.
