Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a skilled Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our Behavioral Health Department in Vancouver, Washington.
About the Role:
The Crisis Intervention Specialist will provide behavioral health crisis intervention services to individuals referred to our Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention (AMCI) team through the Southwest Washington Crisis line, 911, or CRESA. This role requires a strong understanding of crisis intervention principles, risk assessment, de-escalation, and safety planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outreach, assessment, referral, and follow-up supportive services to individuals in crisis.
- Collaborate with natural supports, community partners, service providers, housing providers, and other community organizations to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document crisis services in EPIC and maintain accurate records.
- Respond to mobile crisis referrals, assess the situation, and provide appropriate interventions.
- Develop and implement safety plans to address suicidal ideation or gestures.
- Perform opioid overdose risk screening and provide follow-up services as needed.
- Attend AMCI daily crossover meetings and share relevant information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or Associate's degree with two years of experience in mental health or a related field.
- Current TB test and CPR certification required.
- Annual influenza vaccine required, with exceptions for medical or religious exemptions.
- Proof of COVID vaccination required.
