Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Validation Engineer to join our team at Navistar, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing validation tests for electrical systems on commercial trucks and school buses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute validation tests for electrical systems, including system integration, computer software, serial communication, components, and wiring repair.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical system defects, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test procedures, reports, and training materials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical systems validation, testing, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including circuit analysis, wiring diagrams, and electrical testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data acquisition and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data loggers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with SAE J1939 Control Area Network (CAN) and data acquisition software.
  • Knowledge of electrical system design and development, including electrical system implementation and electrical system requirements.
