Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain electrical and communication systems for industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Perform power system evaluations, including load flow assessments, short circuit evaluations, and arc flash analyses to guarantee system dependability and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Offer technical assistance and expertise to operational and maintenance teams for diagnosing power system challenges, acting as a subject matter authority in power systems engineering, and providing training and mentorship to less experienced engineers as necessary.
  • Review and endorse electrical designs and specifications for new initiatives and alterations through collaboration with internal teams and external contractors to facilitate system enhancements and expansions.
  • Create, execute, and refine preventive maintenance strategies for essential power system apparatus.
  • Remain informed about industry developments, standards, and best practices pertinent to power systems engineering.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of electrical experience, preferably in large-scale petrochemical manufacturing settings.
  • Strong comprehension and troubleshooting skills related to power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relaying up to 138kV.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis tools such as ETAP or SKM PowerTools.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, ANSI, etc.).
  • Experience with programming and communication of SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of programming for SEL and GE relays.
