DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) stands as the premier provider in air freight solutions and a key player in ocean freight services.
With a dedicated workforce of approximately 30,000, we ensure the seamless transportation of our clients' shipments via air and sea. DGF's logistics offerings encompass the entire supply chain, from production to retail. This includes specialized transport-related services. For more information, visit our career site.As an Air Export Agent, your primary responsibility will be managing the logistics of our clients' air export shipments. You will serve as the central liaison for coordinating the export processes between clients, customs brokers, and shipping carriers.
Key Responsibilities :
Coordinate effectively among all relevant parties for all air export shipments for our clients; guarantee timely bookings with airlines on behalf of the customer.
Prepare export documentation, including entries into Logis Air, adhering to country-specific requirements, as well as the creation of Certificate of Origin, Cargo Manifest, NAFTA Certificate, Airway Bill, and any other documents mandated by the client.
Ensure compliant filing of AES (Automated Export System) export customs.
Maintain regular communication with clients regarding the status of their shipments, while also liaising with overseas partners to fulfill delivery commitments; follow up with airlines to monitor and track departure and arrival information and updates.
Ensure accurate invoicing of services rendered within a timeframe consistent with company policy.
Maintain accurate and updated customer profiles.
Meet all KPIs assigned and audited by the Control Tower.
Skills / Requirements :
Outstanding customer service abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience in the air freight industry is preferred.
Knowledge of Cargo Wise systems is an advantage.
Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in the air freight sector within the freight forwarding industry.
