General Overview

The IT Operations Support Manager is essential in facilitating the effective functioning of the IT division at Hanwha Advanced Materials America, LLC. This role is pivotal in ensuring that both the technological framework and the personnel are in sync with the strategic objectives of the organization. The position requires close collaboration with the IT Manager to supervise daily technical functions, provide support, and uphold IT policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IT Manager by executing related tasks.
  • Contribute to the development, coordination, and enforcement of systems, policies, procedures, and productivity benchmarks.
  • Respond promptly to user inquiries by delivering first-level technical and functional assistance, including support for ERP, MES, and WMS systems, cloud applications, the MS Office Suite, and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Act as a primary escalation point for IT troubleshooting, encompassing laptop repairs, mobile device support, conference room setups, hardware diagnostics, and software assistance.
  • Implement and uphold network security measures to safeguard against potential cyber threats and enhance data protection.
  • Oversee and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and storage systems, in collaboration with the IT Manager and headquarters.
  • Monitor functionalities of SAP, MES, and WMS software.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of SAP, MES, and WMS systems.
  • Report and resolve technical issues in SAP by liaising with the IT Manager and HQ Team.
  • Guarantee that hardware and software components are current and comply with industry standards.
  • Safeguard company data security and protection across all systems, including file servers.
  • Engage with all departments to comprehend their technological requirements and provide suitable solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to secure necessary IT equipment and services.
  • Enhance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional literature, maintaining networks, and engaging in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in systems and network administration, programming, and management.
  • Solid understanding of various network components, including firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.
  • Experience in virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware) and cloud management.
  • Good grasp of database management, with experience in SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical personnel, both internal and external.
  • Capable of working creatively and efficiently in a dynamic team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to work with components consistently along a production line without adverse effects.
  • Capacity to make timely decisions and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong desire for personal and professional growth.
  • Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
