POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, this role is crucial in delivering vital assistance to IT teams across various technological domains, including personal computer systems, networks, audio/visual setups, and related peripherals. The individual will be responsible for addressing software and hardware inquiries and incidents by adhering to established protocols, supported by a methodical approach. The candidate should be prepared to travel to various locations serviced by the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals, software, and basic data communications equipment in educational and administrative settings.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues across Windows, Android, Chrome, and/or Mac/iOS platforms.
  • Configure Wireless LAN Controllers to enable network access for personal devices in a BYOD environment.
  • Troubleshoot various personal devices operating on Windows, MacOS, Chrome OS, Linux, Android, and iOS.
  • Utilize knowledge of LAN/WAN functions to address and resolve network access challenges.
  • Organize users and computer accounts into appropriate organizational units based on user roles.
  • Add users and manage group changes in email management systems and other applications as required.
  • Install and configure desktop workstation hardware, operating systems, application software, and peripherals.
  • Commission and decommission PC workstations as necessary.
  • Conduct system reporting of warrantied items and schedule replacements as needed.
  • Assist in diagnosing warrantied systems or, if necessary, systems without warranty for potential replacement.
  • Support management of district systems, including user account creation, password resets, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT inventory.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software deployment and workstation imaging.
  • Provide on-site or remote technical support for computer hardware, peripherals, and approved software applications.
  • Assist personnel with updates and patches for operating systems and application software.
  • Perform software and hardware upgrades.
  • Diagnose hardware and software failures promptly.
  • Arrange for necessary repairs to IT systems and peripherals.
  • Assist with event setup, configuration, and takedown of workstations, audio-visual equipment, and peripherals.
  • Manage multiple requests/projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Provide assistance to campuses/departments, including travel to various district locations.
  • Support ongoing projects as necessary.
  • Document internal procedures.
  • Proactively engage in responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Personal transportation to district sites.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer hardware and software utilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and software utilities.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+, or similar certifications are preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Involves prolonged sitting, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, repetitive motions, and standing.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of up to fifty (50) lbs. and exertion of up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force to move objects.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders between 3 to 16 ft. in height.
  • Requires travel to multiple locations.
