Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Semiconductor Field Engineer to join our team at Beacon Hill. As a Semiconductor Field Engineer, you will be responsible for performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, troubleshooting equipment problems, and installing new equipment on customer sites.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and identify root causes
  • Install new equipment on customer sites and ensure proper integration
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisors, and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
  • Order and install parts and components as needed
  • Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely support
  • Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Stay current on equipment and tools through training, manuals, and other relevant materials
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology preferred
  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study
  • Electrical and mechanical experience or military background in lieu of education will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
  • Military background with experience in electronics and semiconductor repair
  • Excellent customer interface skills and ability to work with customers
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use appropriate tools
  • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of company equipment and company procedures
Physical Requirements

Job duties may require working in confined areas, in awkward positions, and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required. May require bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection Equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with hazardous materials or conditions.

Travel Requirements

Travel may be required, up to 100% of the time, depending on the team. Financial incentives may be available for travel teams.
