Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Semiconductor Field Engineer to join our team at Beacon Hill. As a Semiconductor Field Engineer, you will be responsible for performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, troubleshooting equipment problems, and installing new equipment on customer sites.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and identify root causes
  • Install new equipment on customer sites and ensure proper integration
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisors, and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
  • Order and install parts as needed
  • Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely support
  • Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Stay current on equipment and tools through training, manuals, and other relevant materials
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technology preferred
  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study
  • Electrical/mechanical experience or military background in lieu of education will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
  • Military backgrounds have a high success rate in these roles
  • Excellent customer interface skills are required
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use appropriate tools are necessary
  • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required
Physical Requirements

Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions, and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions.
