Job Title: Semiconductor Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled Semiconductor Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team at Principal Service Solutions. As a key member of our technical workforce, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the quality of operations at high-tech companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and maintain records and reports as required
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
  • Order and install parts, respond to emergency service calls, and instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed and remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
  • 2+ year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment required
  • Excellent customer interface skills and mechanical aptitude required
  • Ability to work in confined areas, in awkward positions, and/or in high places, with occasional overnight travel to factory, training facilities, and customer locations

Physical Requirements:

  • Job duties often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds required
  • May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing and use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions
