Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst I Revenue Integrity Specialist to join our team at UF Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating financial, clinical, and decision support information in a team environment to support management objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and synthesize data from multiple systems and databases to provide information for leaders to make informed business decisions.
  • Communicate and explain complex data and information to leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Work with a wide customer base across all levels of leadership to improve operational efficiencies and resource allocations for improved revenue cycle performance.
  • Assist revenue cycle leaders to investigate and design strategic initiatives to improve revenue cycle statistics, reporting capabilities, and overall performance.
  • Participate in initiatives to determine how processes can be aligned with best practices to achieve optimal results, measurable change, and a quantifiable, positive contribution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance or a business-related field. Master's degree preferred. Associate's degree and 3 years of experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree requirement.
  • Two (2) years of healthcare data analysis experience with in-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise and desktop applications, including Microsoft.
  • SQL report writing capabilities and Business Objects and EPIC hospital information systems experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, coordination, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to apply analysis, definition, and documentation for business, systems, and data processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and competence in problem definition and strategy development for resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience with large relational databases and data warehousing, including ability to query database using SQL or similar language.
  • Mastery of Business Intelligence report writing and visualization tools such as Epic Analytics, Business Objects (WebI), Power BI or similar report writing and visualization tools.
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, including complex functions, formulas, and formatting.
  • Proven ability to work with and track large amounts of data (millions of records) with accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate information in an easy-to-understand format.
