Pediatrician for Child Abuse Cases

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Abuse Pediatrician to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients and families affected by child abuse and neglect.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert evaluation and treatment of patients with suspected child abuse and neglect
- Teach and mentor residents, medical students, and other learners in the subspecialty area of child abuse
- Conduct research in quality and safety in pediatric care, with a focus on child abuse and neglect
- Participate in statewide training on child abuse and neglect, and provide guidance to other healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans for patients with child abuse and neglect
- Board certification or eligibility in Child Abuse Pediatrics
- Experience in clinical care of patients ages birth to 21
- Experience in education and research
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment
- Advanced training in clinical research and/or epidemiology
- Success in securing research grants and contracts
- Experience in setting up unique systems of care for children who have experienced trauma
