Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Casework Supervisor. This role will involve supervising a team of social workers and employment services workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of social workers and employment services workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to foster care, adoption, and fostering futures clients.
  • Provide individual supervision, interviewing, hiring, training, and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Review case documentation for accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local policies and laws.
  • Participate in various meetings and activities related to child and family welfare, including VEMATs, FPMs, FAPT, and court proceedings.
  • Maintain current knowledge of foster care, fostering futures, adoption, adoption subsidy, and foster and kinship resource families programs.
  • Gather statistical data related to foster care and adoptions, program outcomes, and community needs.
  • Provide on-call supervisory support to child welfare staff, including after-hours coverage for CPS, prevention, and foster care.
  • Participate in unit, division, agency, and community meetings, as well as committees and task forces related to child welfare.
  • Contribute to the Department's leadership team, working on strategic planning, best practice initiatives, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
Requirements
  • Considerable knowledge of social work practice, particularly in working with family systems and identifying and treating substance abuse, mental health diagnoses, delinquency, and other issues related to child welfare.
  • Strong working knowledge of trauma-informed best practices in child welfare and how trauma and resiliency impact children, their families, and child welfare staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide guidance and support to staff members.
