Job Summary

We are seeking a per diem Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist with academic career interests to provide clinical care, consultation, and supervision/teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient services, including weekend and vacation coverage as needed
  • Offer consultation and liaison services for child and adolescent populations
  • Collaborate with the Child and Adolescent Division of the Department of Psychiatry to deliver exemplary psychiatric services
  • Teach and work with medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Expand training for pediatricians and pediatric specialties
Requirements
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice in Virginia
  • Demonstrated clinical experience with pediatric patients and their families
  • Fostering an interdisciplinary team approach
