Healthcare Liaison Specialist

The Healthcare Liaison Specialist - Medicaid Enrollment plays a pivotal role in the enrollment and retention of Custodial Medicaid Eligibility for Integrated Products, Management Services Organizations, and the PHSP lines of business at Healthfirst.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate with internal departments and external Nursing Home agencies to facilitate the submission and approval of Medicaid Applications.
- Ensure seamless communication and systematic completion of routine and special projects through creative solutions and daily assignments.
- Conduct monthly enrollments for permanently placed consumers enrolling in the Managed Long Term Care program.
- Provide administrative support to the Intake & Enrollment department by acting as a liaison between Nursing Homes and our Care Management and Intake & Enrollment departments.
Daily tasks include tracking Custodial Care Medicaid Applications submitted to the LDSS/HRA for approval, conducting daily Nursing Home visits to follow-up with applications and inquiries, and monitoring Medicaid Renewal time frames for members for each line of business.
Additionally, this role involves preparing weekly summary reports for each line of business to show the status of the Custodial and Renewal process, reporting to management the progress of all applications during weekly meetings, and identifying and escalating immediate outstanding issues.
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Medicare, Medicaid, or Managed Care experience
- Previous training experience in Managed Long-Term Care and customer service settings
- Experience with servicing the frail adult or elderly population
We offer competitive compensation, including an estimated salary range of $47,403 - $62,400 for the Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents) and $41,101 - $60,320 for All Other Locations within approved locations.
