Position Overview:

The role requires an onsite presence for the initial training period, transitioning to a hybrid work model with two days of remote work each week.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting with 3-5 years of experience in the Financial Services sector or a related field.
  • Proficient technical and analytical skills aligned with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong financial insight and understanding.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication abilities.

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years in the financial or credit union industry.
  • Technical and analytical expertise suitable for GAAP compliance.

Additional Competencies:

  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the ongoing Accounting Operations of the Credit Union.
  • Process and document daily member transactions across various platforms, ensuring accurate reconciliation and variance identification.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team and engage with the Federal Reserve Bank and other financial institutions.
  • Work closely with Analysts and Senior Accountants to provide backup and cross-train on essential duties.

Key Duties:

  • Manage share draft/check clearing processes.
  • Assist with Lockbox transaction processing.
  • Oversee and process Corporate Credit Union deposits.
  • Conduct Corporate Credit Union research and necessary adjustments.
  • Facilitate both Domestic and International wire transactions.
  • Support shared branching reconciliations.

Daily Activities:

  • Execute transactional processing as required.
  • Perform routine reconciliations to support NCUA and Opinion Audits.
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate causes, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Provide assistance to the accounting team on various projects and reconciliations.
