Key Responsibilities

  1. Generate precise and timely financial reports and statements while ensuring adherence to appropriate accounting control procedures.
  2. Oversee daily operations within the accounting department, including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger management, payroll, treasury functions, budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
  3. Analyze accounting data and produce relevant financial reports or statements.
  4. Establish and uphold proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  5. Coordinate and finalize annual audits.
  6. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance systems and financial performance.
  7. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  8. Collaborate with the Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to refine financial procedures.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  2. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
  3. Over 5 years of proven experience in roles such as financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with advanced spreadsheet capabilities.
  6. Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
  7. Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  8. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  9. Capacity to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines with accuracy.
  10. Technologically adept with experience in accounting software, such as FreshBooks and Zoho.
  11. High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
  12. Solid understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
