Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Jobot. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and accurately recording financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing financial reports and statements as needed.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide recommendations to improve financial systems and performance.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Liaise with the Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief, or senior accountant.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy and experience with accounting software.
  • Integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
