Position Overview

Role: Medical Office Coordinator
Location: Los Angeles-KoreaTown
Employment Type: Full-Time (32 hours/week) 8 AM - 5 PM
  • Flexibility to assist at other clinic locations as required by the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, whether in person or over the phone, addressing inquiries or directing them appropriately.
  • Enhance patient satisfaction and optimize provider efficiency by managing appointment scheduling both in-person and via phone.
  • Ensure patient appointments run smoothly by preparing medical charts and verifying eligibility and program requirements.
  • Provide comfort to patients by addressing their concerns and maintaining a welcoming reception area.
  • Process payments when necessary.
  • Assist patients in emergencies with appropriate responses.
  • Safeguard patient confidentiality regarding personal and financial information.
  • Support operational efficiency by adhering to established policies and procedures and reporting necessary changes.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results as needed.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and direct them as necessary, taking messages when required.
  • Maintain patient accounts by accurately recording and updating personal and financial details.
  • Work closely with a Primary Care Provider to facilitate patient processing.
  • Ensure proper financial screening and documentation are conducted when no other payment sources are available.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English and Korean is essential.
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 months of experience in a medical office setting is required.
  • Familiarity with health plans and programs such as Medical, CHDP, CovCA, and MHLA is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Willingness to assist at other clinics as organizational needs arise.
Full-time (30+ hours/week) benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, and all legally mandated benefits.
