Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled and bilingual (Korean/English) Medical Assistant to provide essential support within our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will combine administrative expertise with clinical proficiency to ensure the efficient functioning of our medical practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients upon their arrival, gather necessary demographic and insurance details, and assist them in completing required documentation.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records, while organizing and maintaining both electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Accurately record and monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
  • Assist in the collection and labeling of specimens for laboratory analysis, ensuring proper handling and preparation for transport.
  • Conduct electrocardiogram tests on patients as instructed by healthcare professionals, ensuring the proper calibration and operation of EKG equipment.
  • Support medical staff during examinations, procedures, and treatments by preparing examination rooms and sterilizing medical instruments as necessary.
  • Perform general office duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records, including assisting with insurance verification and billing processes.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required to enhance the efficient operation of the medical office.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience, though not mandatory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in both Korean and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective and compassionate communication with patients and colleagues.
