**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage planning projects, including active transportation, transit, emerging mobility, public policy, and traffic, with a focus on land use, sustainability, and resilience.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality project deliverables, including print and web documentation and presentations.
  • Represent Arup to clients and local communities through presentations and meetings.
  • Support business development efforts to secure planning work and build client relationships.
  • Manage junior staff participating in project work.

**Requirements:**

  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in City and Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 5-15 years of progressively responsible professional experience.
  • Portfolio of professional planning projects and a history of building relationships in the Los Angeles region.
  • Professional leadership demonstrated by publications, committee memberships, professional presentations, or other activities.
  • Professional qualification or engineering license in California, or AICP certification is desirable.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience managing projects with CEQA requirements, traffic capacity analysis, and micro simulation, or travel demand modeling.
  • Collaborative and interdisciplinary outlook.
  • Creativity in intellectual and technical approach.
  • Established reputation and relationships in the Los Angeles region.
  • Experience working with public and private sector clients.
