About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Planner to join our team at Stantec. As a Senior Medical Planner, you will be responsible for leading the design of healthcare projects, from smaller scale to mega scale, and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the clinical planning of healthcare facilities, including preventative, outpatient, acute, and post-acute care services.
  • Facilitate QA/QC oversight of strategic, facility master planning, and medical planning aspects of project design.
  • Provide technical assistance in proposal formulation, project setup, work plan development, and budgeting.
  • Meet with clients to analyze project goals and develop architectural concepts and solutions.
  • Initiate and create designs and other documentation, including presentation drawings, models, and narratives.
  • Foster a cohesive, effective, and efficient team environment.
  • Represent Stantec as a local leader in healthcare design and reinforce the global brand.
  • Collaborate with the Global Health Sector and Business Center leadership to ensure successful project and business outcomes.
  • Develop design solutions that meet both client project goals and Stantec's Project Essentials.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate an extensive understanding of health design complexity and knowledge of health facility planning and design guidelines and codes.
  • Evidence of strong working relationships with clients.
  • A portfolio of substantial projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including prioritizing work for others, meeting deadlines, and adhering to work schedules and fees.
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED is strongly desired.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, AutoCAD, and REVIT.
