We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Manager to join our team at Secure Transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the transportation department, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our participants.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the transportation department, including hiring, training, and scheduling of drivers.
- Assist the Transportation Coordinator in daily scheduling and coordination of transportation.
- Conduct quarterly meetings with drivers to discuss issues and provide retraining as needed.
- Participate in all PACE required meetings, including IDT, family meetings, staff meetings, and quality improvement meetings.
- Establish a positive rapport with participants, their family members, and other members of the PACE Care team.
- Address and resolve participant grievances in a timely manner.
- Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
- Ensure all transportation staff members are updated on Secure Transportation and PACE policies and procedures.
- Interact closely with senior center staff to resolve concerns as they arise.
- Manage and maintain a fleet of vehicles, including lift vans, A.D.A accessible mini buses, and ambulatory vehicles.
- Keep accurate records of transportation logs, fuel cards, vehicle maintenance, and mileage.
- Address and resolve drivers' personnel issues, including disciplinary actions.
- Conduct and monitor drivers' performance evaluations.
- Submit and manage all monthly reports.
- Data entry into a FileMaker based system.
- High School graduate.
- College degree preferred.
- Commercial driver license with passenger endorsement.
- Experience in Senior Care or related human services industry.
- One year experience with the elderly required.
- Extensive knowledge of Koreatown and surrounding areas streets, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns.
- Vehicle scheduling and dispatching a plus.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Fluency in Korean a plus.
- Self-starter with ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and see them to completion in a timely manner.
- Good communication skills.
- Computer literate and proficient with Word, Excel, and database management software.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and any shift as necessary.
- Work hours: 07:00 am - 17:00 pm with varying shifts.
- Might be required to drive vehicles as needed.
- Must be able to travel out of town with overnight when necessary.
- Ability to push 50lbs and lift 150lbs minimum.
- Position requires working in a seated position while operating computer, keyboard, mouse, phones, and printers and filing of documents.
- Position may require standing/walking for up to 4 hours.
