Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management and Insurance Services Analyst to join our team at Coastal Carolina University. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $46,321.00 to $86,321.00 annually.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the University's workers' compensation program, including assisting employees with filing claims and facilitating employee services through nurse case managers and adjusters.
  • Report and file University insurance claims with the Insurance Reserve Fund, outside insurance carriers, and Office of University Counsel, as deemed appropriate.
  • Assist University departments with timely filing and resolution of claims, gathering incident reports, pictures, repair estimates, witness and employee statements, and working with claims adjusters toward resolution and payment of invoices.
  • Support the Director in tracking and analyzing data related to the University's insurance claims and loss experience, for use in making risk management and loss control recommendations to administrators, directors, and department managers.
  • Evaluate and maintain the University's insurance programs, analyzing claims data to identify and assess exposures across lines of business for selection of appropriate insurance products.
  • Assist the Director with reviewing and providing guidance to University departments concerning insurance-related questions, coverage issues, inventory control, and proper procedures for best risk management practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of the methods, organization, planning, and monitoring of risk management programs.
  • Ability to analyze data and information in making decisions and solving problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all University stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
