The manager will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative software solutions and user interfaces.
Primary Responsibilities
The Frontend Engineering Manager will focus on strategic leadership, providing architectural direction, and contributing technically to projects. Guides Software Engineers in the effective design and development of exceptional user experiences. Organizes team members' tasks to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Collaborates with project team members in an agile environment to develop specifications, conduct feasibility studies, and establish testing requirements. Writes original code and modifies existing code to meet project standards effectively. Develops, documents, and executes test plans and scripts to ensure optimal software functionality, documenting changes per company standards. Identifies coding issues and recommends system enhancements. Manages and directs technical staff. Analyzes and resolves application problems and issues. Designs relevant database schemas and collaborates with Database Administrators for deployment and performance tuning. Works with product managers, designers, and other project team members to conceive features, identify requirements, conduct feasibility analyses, and determine testing needs and project timelines. Enhances application performance by diagnosing issues and refining code. Provides support for troubleshooting production systems. Develops tools or automated processes to optimize frontend development and metrics tracking. Leverages expertise in frontend development paradigms, UX engineering, and modern responsive design techniques. The Frontend Engineering Manager is a vital team member committed to delivering outstanding user experiences, staying abreast of the latest technologies, and leading the transition to micro frontend frameworks.Required Skills
Proficient in UI Design, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is essential. Familiarity with Java, database technologies (SQL), model-view-controller architecture, and REST services is highly advantageous. Strong English communication skills, including speaking, writing, and reading comprehension; along with active listening, critical thinking, problem-solving, analysis, programming, troubleshooting, leadership, and judgment. Knowledge of secure coding practices and web security principles. Capability to develop responsive web applications. Passionate about delivering high-quality, high-performance web experiences. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Previous experience in a lead or management role is preferred. Over 7 years of experience in a Software Development environment and e-commerce web applications. At least 3 years of experience in building Web User Experiences and designing User Interfaces. More than 5 years of experience in designing and developing with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and UI frameworks. At least 3 years of experience with software development, release, and QA tools. More than 5 years of experience in full lifecycle development in a management capacity is preferred. Alternatively, a combination of equivalent experience, education, and training will be considered.
