Senior Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will have the opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make a meaningful impact in the Department of Defense (DoD). You will understand your customer's environment and develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications will make you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.
Your Responsibilities- Apply systems engineering practices to support the development and acquisition of war fighting information systems in various stages of development and acquisition.
- Lead or support technical and engineering tasks for the customer, including the design, requirements analysis, systems analysis, development, system-of-systems integration, acquisition planning, test and evaluation, mission or capability planning, reliability, or maintainability of information systems.
- Design and develop information systems, and evolve them with advanced technology solutions.
- Merge network architecture and integrate leading edge technologies to create a resilient tactical network design for the Army.
- 5+ years of experience with systems engineering, specifically focusing on DoD data systems.
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or testing of DoD or Government Agency information systems or applications.
- Experience with system architecture, design, requirements analysis, interface definition, verification and validation, and trade study design.
- Experience working with systems utilizing cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience with DevSecOps processes and Agile systems development.
- Knowledge of the system development life cycle.
- Ability to write technical documentation and create design artifacts.
- Ability to develop and document effective processes.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT, Engineering, CS, or Mathematics field.
- Experience leading engineering teams.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering methods and tools.
- Experience managing DoD systems.
- Possession of strong analytical skills for analyzing customer capabilities and developing requirements.
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or CS.
- Agile Certification.
- ASEP, OCSMP, A+, Network+, Security+ CE, CCENT, MCTS, or MCITP Certification.

Salary at Booz Allen Hamilton is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
