Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

TETAC Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Monterey, California. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the mechanical design and testing of unmanned systems and payloads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical components, electro-mechanical systems, and payload mechanical systems for unmanned vehicles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
  • Develop manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for components and assemblies using industry drafting standards.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Support design reviews, assist project managers with the planning and scheduling of engineering work, and support manufacturing & suppliers with the production of components & assemblies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant technical experience in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in unmanned system technologies.
  • Experience in developing requirements specification for mechanical subsystems and according to MIL-STD 961D standard or equivalent.
  • Sufficient proficiency with CAD/CAE tools, including SolidWorks for mechanical modeling.
  • Manufacturing experience of UGVs/UAVs, including maintaining bill of materials (BOM).
  • Experience with change control management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Recognition by a reputable international engineering society such as ASME at the senior membership level or higher.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with MIL-STD-1316 for fuze board compliance of energetic systems.
  • Demonstrates full understanding & knowledge of engineering principles in the technical discipline and successfully works independently.
Salary Range:

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $135,000.
