Job Title: Industrial Automation Manager

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Manager to join our team at the City of Marina, California. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of industrial automation systems, including SCADA and programmable logic controllers. Your primary goal will be to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our water treatment and distribution systems.

Job Summary:

The Industrial Automation Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of automation engineers and technicians to design, install, and maintain industrial automation systems.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of automation systems with other facility systems.
  • Developing and implementing automation strategies to improve system efficiency and reliability.
  • Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting of automation system issues.
  • Maintaining and improving automation system documentation and procedures.
Responsibilities:

The Industrial Automation Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Designing and implementing automation systems, including SCADA and PLC systems.
  • Coordinating with vendors and contractors to ensure proper installation and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Developing and implementing automation system documentation and procedures.
  • Providing training and support to automation engineers and technicians.
  • Maintaining and improving automation system performance and reliability.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least six years of experience in industrial automation, including experience with SCADA and PLC systems.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
