CAT Scan Technologist Staten Island/Richmond Ave Monday

We are seeking a highly skilled CAT Scan Technologist to join our team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed radiographic and CT procedures, utilizing computerized tomography scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiographic and CT procedures, accurately interpreting physicians' scanning instructions and administering contrast materials as needed.
- Operate CT scan equipment, positioning patients to capture high-quality images and ensuring proper patient care.
- Review patients' requisitions, understanding the type of exam required and conferring with medical staff as necessary.
- Follow accepted radiologic procedures, using medical information to determine the type of protocol required for radiographic examinations.
- Independently implement patient procedures, explaining the process to patients and solving problems that arise during examinations.
- Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
- Advanced Certification in CT required within one year of hire or transfer.
- New York State Department of Health IV Contrast Injection Certification (Part 89-Section) required within one year of hire or transfer.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
