CAT Scan Technologist Staten Island/Outerbridge Monday

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAT Scan Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed radiographic and CT procedures.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. You will accurately interpret physicians' scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
Responsibilities:- Perform radiographic and CT procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Accurately interpret physicians' scanning instructions and administer contrast materials as needed.
- Prepare and operate CT scan equipment, positioning patients to capture high-quality images.
- Effectively assess patients' information and status, following appropriate procedures accordingly.
- Use standard procedures to identify the correct patient and review patients' requisitions to understand the type of exam required.
- Follow accepted radiologic procedures and use medical information to determine the type of protocol required for radiographic examination.
- Consult policy and procedure manuals and/or other reference materials as necessary to ensure actions conform to established protocols.
- Recognize the need for and follow isolation precautions.
- Independently implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
- Explain procedures and equipment to patients clearly and solve problems that arise during patient examinations using both technical knowledge and innovation.
- Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
- Advanced Certification in CT required within one year of hire or transfer.
- New York State Department of Health IV Contrast Injection Certification (Part 89-Section) required within one year of hire or transfer.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $101,911.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
