Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) presents an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to join our vibrant team. This role involves leading the BDS Supply Chain Team that supports the P-8 Advanced Airborne Sensor and Mechanism Program.


The successful candidate will be adept at collaborating with various programs and effectively working across different functions to meet business requirements.

Additionally, the ability to coordinate with all Boeing business units to ensure uniformity is essential for supporting Boeing's long-term strategic objectives.

In this role, you will oversee a team of procurement agents, analysts, supply base managers, and supplier program managers responsible for acquiring and managing a diverse range of commodities for the Advanced Airborne Sensor and Mechanism Program associated with P-8.

Your responsibilities will include tracking standard metrics for all procurements, reviewing purchase contracts, ensuring team compliance, assisting in supplier negotiations, training new staff, distributing workloads to maintain balance, and evaluating the performance of key suppliers. You will also engage in problem-solving for delayed or problematic parts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise recovery plans for shortages.

Key Responsibilities:


Act as an authorized representative of the company, managing all supplier-related activities and possessing the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.


Lead employees from various Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines in activities related to the acquisition of goods and services that support company operations, supplier assessment, performance enhancement, and supplier diversity.


Formulate and implement integrated organizational plans, policies, and procedures while guiding the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives.

Acquire resources for organizational activities, provide technical oversight of suppliers, and spearhead process improvements.

Establish and nurture relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

Offer guidance on negotiation strategies, processes, and related tools.

Manage, develop, and inspire employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the specified locations, in addition to traveling to support team members.



Shift:
This position is for 1st shift.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
More than 3 years of experience leading supplier contract negotiations

More than 3 years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams

More than 3 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance

Experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred

More than 3 years of experience leading a team or program

More than 1 year of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 30-50% of the time.

Summary pay range:

Tukwila, WA:
$118,150 - $145,950

Hazelwood, MO:
$110,500 – 136,500
