Job Summary

Maintain and support equipment readiness, installing new tools, driving collaboration with suppliers on equipment issues and upgrades, and supporting the manufacturing floor. Provide technical leadership to optimize equipment capability, quality, and utilization through Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP) to meet Metrology goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process and equipment engineers, facilities, environmental, safety, quality, logistics, and repair personnel, to achieve Metrology and FAB8 targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Own production readiness of specific toolsets as assigned by the Manager.
  2. Work with equipment suppliers, vendors, maintenance technicians, and cross-functional teams on equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) or Corrective Maintenance (CM), tool proficiency, and fleet matching.
  3. Document PM plans for all equipment and optimize PM for quality, cost, and productivity.
  4. Focus on cost-savings initiatives with a strong emphasis on cost/budget control, yield support, and continuous improvement activities related to MTR equipment.
  5. Lead hands-on, tactical troubleshooting efforts to resolve long-term performance issues and deconstruct complex systems to identify root causes of equipment failure.
  6. Continuously improve and create robust equipment procedures and methodologies for high-volume manufacturing using statistical tools, DOE, and systematic problem-solving skills.
  7. Support start-up of new or relocated equipment, drive installation and qualification of new tools, and ensure equipment acceptance for production and volume ramp.
  8. Provide leadership and guidance to effectively identify root causes of equipment issues, drive resolutions, document and close events, and conduct post-mortems.
  9. Develop and train equipment maintenance technicians, create training materials, and perform training for technicians working on tools in assigned areas.
Requirements
  • Education: BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or closely related discipline) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years engineering or equipment maintenance experience on 300mm equipment in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic, motivated, and self-driven. Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Language: Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Physical Capacity Demands: Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wear required protective clothing and equipment, and lift a minimum of 30 pounds periodically during tool maintenance.
