Required Qualifications

+ A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the development and application of technical principles related to substation equipment ratings, applications, specifications, engineering, operations, and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

+ A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Relevant Experience

+ Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.

+ Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with personnel across various levels.

+ Familiarity with fundamental engineering design principles is necessary.

+ A solid understanding of applicable codes and industry standards relevant to substation equipment is required.

+ Capability to draft specifications and standards, as well as coordinate engineering projects and assignments is preferred.

+ Candidates with a specialization in electrical or power systems will be given preference.

Skills and Competencies

+ Proven analytical skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

+ Effective interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to develop and deliver impactful presentations.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Licenses and Certifications

+ A valid Driver's License is required.

+ Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.

Additional Physical Requirements

+ Must be prepared to respond to company emergencies by performing System Emergency Assignments to restore service.

+ Ability to work in and around substations that are either under construction or in service.

+ The role involves working near electrical equipment, both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, and may require climbing ladders.

+ Availability for additional hours may be necessary for system emergencies or scheduled equipment outages.
