Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Manage a team of Product Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Lead Mechanical Engineering activities in a cross-functional hardware team.
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide team guidance, regular feedback, education, coaching, and mentoring to ensure team members are equipped to succeed.
- Talent Acquisition and Development: Identify key roles required for team success and recruit top engineering talent, create career development plans, manage performance, and conduct performance reviews.
- Research and Development: Develop and execute research & NTI roadmap and strategy in close coordination with product, research, and XFN teams, design and define plans, methods, and protocol that deliver on technical roadmap strategy from feasibility to NTI.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage wide variety of stakeholders while leading process definition for your team, help incubate new technologies into research prototypes, perform architecture and design reviews to ensure hardware quality, and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines in a team environment.
- Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 3+ years experience managing engineering teams through product development cycles, 8+ years experience in product design or mechanical system development, experience working independently and managing priorities, experience developing electro-mechanical systems, and mass production experience, working with both domestic and overseas manufacturing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in biosensing or equivalent analog electrical systems, experience in technology incubation or in prototyping, experience in clinical settings, experience developing technology directly with researchers, experience with metrology equipment design, 10+ years experience managing design teams for high-volume consumer products, and 15+ years experience in product design.
