Position Summary

The Shipping Associate will be tasked with efficiently loading products onto delivery vehicles, adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures. This role also involves organizing and storing items appropriately and affixing identification labels as necessary.

Compensation

$19.50 per hour

Work Schedule

Multiple shifts available, including:

  • Sunday-Wednesday (11am-9:30pm)
  • Monday-Friday (1pm-9:30pm)

Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle loads with care, following safety lifting guidelines
  • Inspect vehicles prior to operations to ensure cleanliness and safety
  • Collaborate with team members to meet productivity goals
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment (e.g., Stock Chaser, Pallet Jack)
  • Address inventory discrepancies through thorough research and counts
  • Maintain professionalism and focus while performing duties
  • Cross-train in various roles, including putaway, pulling, and packing
  • Safely operate all warehouse machinery
  • Follow management directives
  • Perform cleaning tasks as needed
  • Uphold a clean and safe warehouse environment
  • Maintain a positive work attitude
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment and machinery
  • Comfortable using electronic devices
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Basic math skills for counting and calculations
  • Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantities, and SKU information
  • Flexibility with work hours
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Responsible for additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling of items weighing up to 50 lbs. Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity are necessary.

Work Environment

The role is performed in a warehouse setting, where temperatures may vary. Employees will work around machinery and equipment in a moderately noisy environment. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and interact with colleagues at all levels is essential.
