About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Hearst. As a key member of our Editorial department, you will play a critical role in researching and analyzing pharmaceutical information to develop and maintain our MedKnowledge base content.

Responsibilities
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on pharmaceutical information, analyze clinical evidence, and interpret results to inform content development and maintenance.
  • Data Management: Direct and perform data entry tasks, verify data entry performed by other team members, and ensure timely review of drug information inheritance through knowledge base drug group rules.
  • Quality Assurance: Review daily data change reports, identify inconsistencies, and take corrective action to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to process and quality improvement efforts, provide in-services and presentations to team members, and bring challenging or controversial clinical issues to the team for discussion.
  • Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries using basic data analytic skills to identify issues and deliver possible solutions, working with management to deliver a solution.
Requirements
  • Clinical Experience: 2 years of recent experience in a clinical pharmacy setting with a bachelor's degree, or 1 year of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited U.S. College of Pharmacy, with active registration as a pharmacist in at least one state.
  • Advanced Training: Residency or fellowship training, or board certification, is preferred but not required.
  • Professional Organizations: Active membership in a pharmacy-related professional organization is preferred and encouraged after hire.
