Nutrition Services Manager

Coordinate the management of nutrition services for skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, hospice, and homecare. Ensure consulting dietitians provide adequate and appropriate nutrition services in accordance with clinical national standards of practice and dietary management expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and apply nutritional standards to resident and facility situations to ensure dietary services meet standards of care and quality.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including relevant sanitation and safety codes.
  • Direct dietary services activities, including food handling, preparation, service, and delivery.
  • Ensure facilities have a consultant providing professional nutrition consultation in accordance with state and federal regulations and nutrition standards of care and practice.
  • Quarterly evaluate all aspects of dietary services to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and PruittHealth policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely and appropriate documentation for medical nutrition therapy on new admissions and residents at nutritional risk.
  • Assist the consulting dietitian in developing staff training and providing in-service training for the dietary department and nursing staff.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, residents, and families regarding all phases of dietary services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a healthcare dietitian in a long-term care facility.
  • Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) in GA, SC, NC, FL.
  • Combination of management and clinical experience.
