Position Overview

SOS International LLC is in search of a Military Transition Recruiter to enhance our recruiting team.

The Military Transition Recruiter will collaborate with a dedicated group of Talent Acquisition professionals to engage in comprehensive recruiting processes within a dynamic, cleared environment focused on defense and government contracts.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional multitasking abilities, strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a forward-looking approach.

The selected individual will gain valuable experience in identifying both passive and active candidates within the cleared sector.

This role is primarily hybrid, requiring some in-office presence, particularly during the initial training period.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of candidates based on essential competencies and cultural alignment.

• Establish and nurture effective networks to maintain a robust talent pipeline.

• Oversee the management of employee referrals and candidate applications.

• Partner with hiring managers to define job specifications, pre-screening inquiries, interview questions, and address staffing challenges.

• Innovatively source candidates through various channels, including job boards, databases, cold outreach, career fairs, networking, referrals, and other creative strategies.

• Review resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, and assess candidates' qualifications for presentation to hiring managers.

• Develop strong candidate networks and foster cross-functional relationships with Hiring Managers to meet business needs.

• Assist in proposal development by recruiting key personnel, formatting resumes, and securing letters of commitment from contingent hires.

• Execute reference checks.

• Maintain necessary recruiting documentation for compliance purposes.

• Contribute to special projects as needed.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.

• Eligibility for SkillBridge participation if you:


• Have 180 days or fewer remaining in service prior to discharge with at least 180 continuous days of active duty.

• Obtain approval from your unit commander.

• Acknowledge that SkillBridge participation may be terminated at any time due to mission requirements.

• Possess an in-scope DoD Secret clearance or the capability to obtain one.

• Experience in Intelligence, IT, Logistics, and/or Medical recruiting and other military roles.

• Familiarity with government contract proposal processes.

• Background in the government contracting sector.

• Knowledge of employment regulations and hiring practices.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

• Proficiency in multitasking and organizing multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to address large groups of potential candidates.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with various recruiting tools and resources.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of DoD culture and organizational dynamics.


• Knowledge of the security clearance process and the medical and mental requirements for overseas positions in challenging environments.

• Familiarity with military transition assistance programs and hiring events on military bases.

• Previous experience as a military recruiter is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel for hiring events and other recruiting activities.
