Job Summary

This is a part-time, non-benefited position in the Nursing and Life Sciences Division that reports to the Program Director of Patient Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab/clinical course material.
  • Prepares lesson plans for classroom/clinical instruction for general core courses.
  • Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives.
  • Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
  • Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
  • Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.
  • Assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
Requirements
  • Registered Nursing (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current, active, unrestricted Georgia License.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time paid in-field work experience as a RN or LPN within the past five years.
  • A minimum of one year's experience in a long-term care facility.
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Active participation in appropriate professional/occupational organization.
  • Train-the Trainer Workshop Attendance Certificate from Georgia Medical Care Foundations.
Working Conditions
  • This position will have direct interaction or care of children under the age of 18 or direct patient care.
