We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our team at the Georgia Department of Community Health. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs to students in the Respiratory Care field.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Deliver effective individualized programs of instruction to class members, ensuring that students meet the program's performance indicators and progress schedule.
  • Ensure adherence to technical college and safety requirements in classrooms and labs by following established procedures.
  • Correctly assess the educational needs and class progress of students, selecting and obtaining appropriate educational materials for courses.
  • Prepare reports on the current status of students in the program, indicating whether performance is aligned with performance indicators, program goals, and progress schedule.
  • Ensure consistency in syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and other appropriate materials.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by attending staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences, and by reading professional literature in the related vocational field.
  • Attend required number of hours of required training, participate in education meetings, workshops, etc., as requested.
  • Participate in advisory committees as requested, ensuring certification meets all required organizational and accreditation policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area, instructing students in and following all safety rules for operating equipment and using tools.
  • Ensure classrooms and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained at all times, and that work-related projects are successfully completed and meet industrial standards.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in the field, with Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Masters degree in a related field is preferred, as is experience with online learning modalities.
  • The ability to move objects up to 15 pounds in all directions, and to operate machinery and/or power tools.
