Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at UW Health. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a vital role in our ambulatory care teams, providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients in our urgent care clinics.

Responsibilities
  • Function as an independent healthcare provider, working collaboratively with a variety of other providers to deliver comprehensive medical care to patients.
  • Provide medical care for acute or chronic illnesses or injuries, monitoring lab and imaging results and providing follow-up inquiries by telephone regarding test results.
  • Utilize eVisit and Telehealth platforms to provide electronic medical care.
  • Provide APP coverage within the department, ensuring seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program (if Nurse Practitioner) or Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program (if Physician Assistant).
  • State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice.
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (if Nurse Practitioner) or active PA board certification (if Physician Assistant).
