Job Title: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at UW Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide comprehensive care to gynecologic oncology patients with varying acuity and diagnoses.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team to provide consistent, high-quality care
  • Perform history and physical, pre-operative visits, post-operative visits, develop, manage and modify treatment plans
  • Perform in-office biopsies and procedures, provide basic post-op wound care
  • Participate in daily rounding and collaborate with attending or consulting team to adjust plans of care
  • Perform hospital-based and ER consults, admit and discharge patients from the hospital (co-signature needed)
  • Discuss role and side effects of chemotherapy with patients and their family, future growth may include prescribing chemotherapy
  • Complete survivorship care plans, discuss cancer surveillance guidelines and review cancer recurrence by outlining test results with patients
Requirements:
  • Minimum - If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program
  • If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program
  • Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
  • If Nurse Practitioner*: Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice
  • If Physician Assistant*: Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active PA board certification
  • All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
